Have you ever been curious about purchasing a home through the Habitat for Humanity program? Please consider attending one of our monthly homebuyer information meetings to learn more!

Could you qualify? To determine if you qualify officially, you’ll need to complete and submit the official application. Some questions to consider:

  • Have you lived in Monroe County or one of the surrounding counties for at least one year?
  • Is your current housing in poor physical condition, overcrowded, unaffordable or subsidized (Section 8)?
  • Are you unable to purchase a home through a bank or other programs?
  • Do you have a steady income? Could you make affordable mortgage payments every month?
  • Is every person over 18 years of age in your family willing to do 250 hours of “sweat equity” (volunteer work) with Habitat for Humanity?
  • Do you have good or improving credit?

Meetings will last one hour. Please call 812.331.4069 to find out it dates, times or location have changed. We will begin promptly and ask that you plan to arrive on time!
