All-women volunteer teams come together to swing hammers and raise roofs, and actively work to eliminate poverty housing in Monroe County, Indiana. It takes 325+ volunteer builders, about 1600 volunteer hours, and $70,000 for land and materials to complete each home. Women Build is a safe haven for women to practice and excel, no matter their skill level. Each builder raises funds to secure a volunteer spot for one day of the build. No experience necessary – REALLY! – and you may sign up to participate on any day you choose. Meet new people and make new friends while giving back to the community!

Builders Blitz is a 12-day build during which local professional home builders join together with their subcontractors and suppliers to build houses for future Habitat homeowners with donated materials and labor. Local professional builders and Habitat for Humanity work closely to organize all aspects of building. This includes securing subcontractors and suppliers, fundraising and seeking donations of materials. With the help of local building professionals in communities across the U.S., the Home Builders Blitz program supports Habitat’s vision of “a world where everyone has a decent place to live.” This is the 8th Builders Blitz in Monroe County. Our Signature Builders will construct homes in our newest Habitat neighborhood, Trail View.
Habitat for Humanity’s Home Builders Blitz makes it possible for us to build more homes more quickly. Builders Blitz also gives members of the local building community a chance to make a tangible difference in Monroe County, while networking with other builders and suppliers.
Builders Blitz will be taking place from June 11 – June 22, 2018.
There are many ways to get involved as a supporter of Builders Blitz. Contact Nathan Ferreira to learn more!
