2025 Women+ Build Kickoff Celebration // Tuesday, June 10

This is your opportunity to learn about Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County’s annual Women+ Build! Whether you’ve been a Women+ Build volunteer for years or are interested in picking up a hammer for the first time, we’d love to have you stop by and celebrate the official launch of Women+ Build 2025. You can also register to build with us this September!

Kickoff Details
Tuesday, June 10 from 5:30-7pm
Master Rental (3704 Jonathan Dr, Bloomington, IN 47404)
Accessible parking and a limited number of spots will be available on site, with additional parking available across the street at Building Associates (3701 Jonathan Dr).

What To Expect at Kick-Off

  • Meet Habitat staff, volunteers, and future homeowners
  • Hear remarks from the Women+ Build Committee and recent homeowners at 6:15pm
  • Learn more about participating in Habitat’s Women+ Build, and ask questions!
  • Visit the online registration station
  • Discover sponsorship opportunities for your business or organization
  • Vote for the 2025 t-shirt design
  • Visit the Limelight Photo Booth to capture the moment
  • Enjoy tasty treats from Rasta Pops and dinner from Pili’s Party Taco (refreshments for purchase)
  • Stick around until the end for the chance to win incredible raffle prizes from local organizations

What is Women+ Build?
Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County’s mission is to expand affordable housing opportunities by partnering with people in our community.

Women+ Build is an annual fundraiser, volunteer opportunity, and construction blitz build centered around teams of women+. Women+ builders register for a team and commit to raising $300 before joining their team for a volunteer day on-site. All funds raised support the costs of building materials for two homes to be built with two Habitat families.

Women+ Build celebrates the empowerment and collective impact of women, nonbinary and gender-expansive individuals through community building. Since 2001, the Monroe County Women+ Build community has built 37 homes and raised over $3.5 million, helping to house 94 individuals, including 49 children.

No prior construction experience is necessary to volunteer with Habitat! Our skilled crew leaders can’t wait to teach you new skills on your build day.
