The core of our mission is to serve to eliminate poverty housing by building decent, affordable homes in partnership with qualifying families.
All who qualify for the Habitat program qualify based on the same three criteria: Need for Housing, Ability to Pay, Willingness to Partner. Each adult member living in a Habitat home must put in 250 hours of volunteering, called sweat equity. Our future homeowners go through extensive homeowner preparedness courses covering topics such as Habitat Philosophy/Partnership, Financial Planning, Home Maintenance and Neighborhood Development.
Serving our future homeowners is at the center of everything we do and every dollar we spend. It has demonstrated impact for generations.
