Homeownership Information Meeting

Our vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Habitat partners with qualified local families to build and purchase affordable homes. Through our Homeownership Program, we provide the coaching, education, and support to guide you through the home-buying journey.

Homeownership Information Meeting

To be accepted into our program, all applicants, co-applicants, and any adults 18+ years of age who will live in the home must attend a mandatory Homeowner Information Meeting as part of the application process.

Meeting Dates & Times:

  • Saturday, December 5 // Monroe County Public Library, Downtown Branch
    • English: 10:30–11:30 a.m.
    • Spanish: 12–1 p.m.
  • Tuesday, December 8 // Monroe County Public Library, Southwest Branch
    • English: 4–5 p.m.
    • Spanish: 5:30–6:30 p.m.

Criteria and Eligibility

Applicants must have lived and/or worked in Monroe County for at least one year and meet three important criteria:

  • A need for housing
  • An ability to pay an affordable mortgage
  • A willingness to partner with Habitat for Humanity

Apply to become a Habitat partner family when the application window opens from January 18–29, 2027.
