Gifts-In-Kind
Support affordable homeownership through gifts of assets, services, property, and resources.
Make an Impact Beyond a Cash Donation
There are many ways to support Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County beyond traditional monetary gifts. Donations of assets, property, vehicles, meals, and other resources help reduce construction costs, strengthen our programs, and expand affordable homeownership opportunities for local families.
Whether you’re planning a legacy gift, donating a vehicle, or providing lunch for volunteers, your generosity helps build stronger communities and brighter futures.
Stock & Bond Gifts
A gift of appreciated stock or bonds can create a meaningful impact for local families while potentially providing valuable tax benefits.
In many cases, donors who contribute securities they have owned for more than one year may receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the asset and avoid paying capital gains tax on any appreciation.
If you are interested in making a gift of stock or bonds, please contact our team to discuss transfer instructions and next steps.
Vehicle Donations
Donating a vehicle is a simple way to support Habitat’s mission while clearing space in your driveway or garage.
Cars, trucks, boats, RVs, motorcycles, and other vehicles may be eligible for donation through Habitat for Humanity’s Cars for HomesTM program. Most vehicles with proper ownership documentation are accepted, and vehicle pickup can often be arranged at no cost to the donor.
Proceeds from vehicle sales help Habitat build homes in partnership with local families.
