Women+Build

Strong women, build strong communities

Build with Women+Build

Since 2001, the Monroe County Women+ Build volunteers have come together from all walks of life to build stronger, safer communities. In just three weeks, we’ll team up to build two homes for families and individuals in need of safe, affordable housing in Monroe County. Women and children are the most likely to be affected by poor living conditions, and these events provide the opportunity for women to take a proactive step in serving their communities.

How to Register

Builders register for one build day and commit to raising $300 before joining their team to volunteer. All raised funds support the material costs to build these two homes.

What to Expect

On your Women+ Build day, you’ll be guided by knowledgeable crew members as you learn to use the provided tools and safety equipment. Habitat provides meals, a build shirt, and more to ensure a fun, hands-on experience.

Ways to Help
