Habitat chosen as State Farm Youth Matching Grant Recipient
September 1, 2025
Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County is honored to be chosen as a State Farm Youth Matching Grant Recipient. This grant will amplify the fundraising efforts of our student chapters at Bloomington HS South, Bloomington HS North, and Indiana University, up to $5,000.
Since 2007, State Farm has been proud to support Habitat’s youth programs across the U.S., which have engaged more than 800,000 in 300 communities across the country. We are grateful to be part of this larger network of caring individuals, brought together with the goal of building efficient, safe, affordable housing alongside our neighbors.
State Farm’s Marching Grant fuels the passion of campus chapters to raise funds that drive forward affordable housing initiatives. These grants catalyze change where it is needed most. The funds raised by the chapters – and matched by State Farm – will go directly toward sponsorship of a home built in Habitat’s Osage Place neighborhood in 2025. As a community consistently ranked as one of the least affordable places to live in Indiana, we are grateful for this additional support to go toward building more affordable homeownership opportunities.
We can’t wait to build with State Farm Agents this summer, and are always grateful for the continued passion shown by our campus chapters. They raised their funds through movie nights, gingerbread making contests, many bake sales, and fun events like Hype for Habitat and Habitat Carnival.
