Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County Women Build in Monroe County is April 29-May 16
From April 29 – May 16, more than 400 women volunteers will work alongside future homeowners Mary Derico and Keba Pierson to build two homes for the 20th annual Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County Women Build.
Women volunteers will fundraise $200,000 to sponsor the infrastructure and materials needed for the home while volunteering approximately 4000 hours of time to physically build the houses. Since its beginning 20 years ago, Women Build has raised nearly $2 million dollars and helped house 71 people including 39 children.
